NUOVO: Dal 20 settembre un nuovo corso di inglese gratis – solo per razzisti!*
Considerata la recente e allarmante impennata di razzismo a Pisa (compresa l’elezione di un nuovo sindaco che non ha mai apertamente condannato il leader del suo partito, il quale compie costantemente dichiarazioni palesemente razziste come “i rom italiani purtroppo ce li dobbiamo tenere a casa“) abbiamo deciso di mettere in atto tutto quello che è in nostro potere per contrastare questa orribile tendenza.
Quindi, in aggiunta al nostro severo regolamento antirazzista annunciato il 27 giugno 2018, con il quale abbiamo chiesto a tutti i razzisti e ai loro sostenitori/fiancheggiatori di cercare formazione in lingua inglese e stimoli culturali altrove, abbiamo deciso di avviare un nuovo corso riservato soltanto ai suddetti razzisti e ai loro sostenitori/fiancheggiatori.
Gli scienziati sono ancora perplessi riguardo alle vere cause del razzismo: alcuni lo attribuiscono a disfunzioni genetiche, altri lo imputano a cause diverse, quali traumi infantili, carenze di affetto durante gli anni dello sviluppo, carenze di educazione, carenze nell’esposizione a scambi culturali, etc. Se, da parte nostra, non siamo attrezzati per riparare i geni di nessuno, né possiamo offrire terapia professionale per traumi infantili et similia (anche se abbiamo i contatti di psichiatri e terapisti formidabili, che possiamo fornire a richiesta), pensiamo di poter essere utili per quanto riguarda le aree dell’affetto, dell’educazione e dell’interazione culturale. Ecco qui la ragione di questo nuovo corso gratuito.
Il corso si terrà alla domenica mattina, dalle 9 alle 10:30 e, come tutti i nostri corsi, avrà un minimo di cinque partecipanti e un massimo di otto. Considerati i materiali che saranno utilizzati, il corso è aperto a persone che possiedano almeno il livello intermedio di conoscenza della lingua inglese. Il corso sarà tenuto principalmente dal prof. Shemtov, ebreo americano e fondatore della nostra scuola, al quale si affiancheranno docenti e ospiti di varie minoranze tradizionalmente marginalizzate: gay, musulmani, neri, rom, etc.
Vogliamo invitare anche il nuovo sindaco a unirsi a noi per un incontro (se ci conferma di saper parlare inglese) nel quale potrà spiegare la sua posizione sul razzismo e riguardo a tutta la retorica razzista proveniente dal suo partito, compreso il proprio leader. Se lui risulterà essere chiaramente opposto a tutte le forme di razzismo, allora speriamo possa spiegarci perché non lo ha pubblicamente e potentemente condannato.
Tutti i materiali saranno centrati principalmente sui tesori culturali prodotti da queste minoranze (i discorsi di Martin Luther King, le lettere di Nelson Mandela, le opere dello scrittore arabo Khalil Gibran, le migliori pagine di scrittori gay, ebrei, rom e africani…) e sulle parti della Costituzione Italiana ed Europea (molti razzisti affrontano temi che riguardano l'”ordine pubblico”, di questi tempi) che garantiscono assoluta uguaglianza e libertà per tutti, a prescindere da razza, religione, etnia, sesso, orientamento sessuale; lavoreremo anche con materiali di economisti pluripremiati di tutto il mondo, per avere una migliore comprensione delle vere cause dell’attuale crisi finanziaria italiana e di tutti i dolorosi problemi che sta causando: ne sono causa gli rom, i musulmani, i neri e i gay (gli obiettivi più frequenti dei razzisti di oggi) o i politici e i banchieri italiani? Se fossero espulsi dall’Italia tutti gli rom, i musulmani e i migranti africani, l’economia italiana ne ricaverebbe un minimo margine di miglioramento?
Speriamo che esplorando queste perle culturali provenienti da tutto il mondo, e nel frattempo guardando bene le motivazioni reali dietro così tanti dei guai italiani, saremo in grado di aprire un dibattito onesto che potrebbe portarci ad alcune soluzioni realmente costruttive – e pacifiche.
Alcune parole chiave da affrontare in questo corso: capro espiatorio, paura, paranoia, manipolazione, disprezzo, dolore, trauma, razzismo, xenofobia, omofobia, antisemitismo, sessismo, pace, amore, saggezza, armonia, fratellanza, sorellanza, prosperità, solidarietà…
Costi:
Il corso è totalmente gratuito per razzisti*, ma chiediamo una cauzione in anticipo, per essere sicuri che le persone non si iscrivano al corso senza poi realmente partecipare (non ci farebbe piacere andare al lavoro di domenica mattina per niente). Il corso inizierà domenica 20 settembre e durerà 36 settimane, con una pausa di un mese dal 20 dicembre al 17 gennaio. Ogni lezione è di 90 minuti, quindi l’intero corso ha la durata complessiva di 54 ore. Come tutti gli altri nostri corsi, il prezzo per questo corso è di 8 euro l’ora, per un totale di 432 euro più IVA al 22% (527,04 euro complessivi).
Chiediamo dunque a tutti i partecipanti di versare in anticipo la quota completa di 528,04 euro come deposito, e la restituiremo al completamento del corso. Se i partecipanti mancassero alle lezioni, ne detrarremo 12 euro + IVA (14,64 euro) per ogni lezione mancata.
Il nostro sconto studenti del 10% si applica anche a questo corso.
Il denaro che non sarà restituito a causa delle lezioni mancate sarà devoluto a “Medici senza frontiere“. (Non sono in alcun modo affiliati alla nostra scuola, ma ammiriamo l’amore che mostrano verso ogni persona senza considerarne l’origine.)
*Quelli di voi che sono abbastanza fortunati da non essere affetti da razzismo o altre forme di intolleranza, li invitiamo a visitare la sezione I corsi per conoscere tutto il nostro programma.
Ci si potrebbe chiedere: e se ci fosse qualcuno disposto a darsi del “razzista” solo per ottenere un corso di inglese gratuito? Noi rispondiamo: se qualcuno desidera definirsi “razzista” solo per avere un corso gratis, secondo noi è razzista abbastanza da aver bisogno del nostro aiuto.
Per chi di voi fosse interessato al corso, ma non riesce neppure a pronunciare l’orribile frase “Io sono razzista”, organizzeremo un altro corso sugli stessi argomenti e materiali, al nostro prezzo consueto, di venerdì o domenica pomeriggio. Fateci sapere se siete interessati.

NEW: Free English Course – Only for Racists*!
Considering the very alarming recent surge of racism in Pisa (including the election of a new Mayor who has never openly condemned the leader of his party who consistently says blatantly racist things like, “Unfortunately we will have to keep the Italian Roma because we can’t expel them.”) we have decided to do everything within our power to counter this horriffic trend.
In addition to our strict anti-racism policy we announced on June 28, 2018, asking all racists and their supporters/enablers to seek English training and cultural stimulation elsewhere, we have also decided to offer a new free English course only for said racists and their supporters/enablers.
Scientists are still baffled as to the true causes of racism, with some attributing it to genetic malfunction, while others attribute it to other causes including childhood trauma, lack of love in formative years, lack of education, lack of cultural exposure and exchange, etc. While we are not equipped to repair anyone’s genes, nor can we provide professional therapy for childhood trauma and the like (although we do have contacts to some amazing psychiatrists and therapists that we can share upon request), we do think we can be useful in the areas of love, education and cultural interaction. That is the reason for this new free course.
The course will take place Sunday mornings, from 9:00-10:30 and, like all of our courses, will have a minimum of 5 and maximum of 8 participants. Considering the materials we will be using, the course is open to people with at least an Intermediate level of English. If you are unsure of your level, please contact us for a free assessment.
The course will be taught mainly by prof. Shemtov, the founder of our school who is Jewish-American, and we will have guest-teachers and contributors from various other traditionally-marginalized minorities – gays, Muslims, blacks, Rom, etc.
We will also extend an invitation to the new mayor to join us for a session (if we can confirm that he speaks English) in which he can explain his position on racism and all the racist rhetoric coming out of his party, including from its current leader; if it turns out that he is adamantly opposed to all forms of racism, then hopefully he will explain why he hasn’t publicly and forcefully condemned it.
The materials will focus primarily on cultural treasures created by these minorities (Martin Luther King’s speeches, Nelson Mandela’s letters, works by Arab writer Khalil Gibran, masterpieces by gay, Rom and African writers, etc.); we will also work with the parts of the Italian and European constitutions (many racists like talking about ‘law and order’ these days…) that guarantee absolute equality and freedom for all people, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, sex, and sexual orientation; we will also work with materials by various award-winning economists from around the world to get a better understanding of the true causes for Italy’s current financial crisis and all of the suffering it is causing: Is it the fault of Rom, Muslims, blacks and gays (the most frequent targets of contemporary racists) or is the Italian politicians and bankers? If Italy expels every Rom, Muslim and African migrant, will the overall Italian economy improve by even the slightest margin?
We hope that by exploring all of these cultural treasures from around the world, as well as by taking a hard look at the real reasons behind so much Italian suffering, we will be able to open an honest dialogue that may lead to some genuinely constructive – and peaceful – solutions.
Some key vocabulary that we will cover in this course are: Scapegoat, Fear, Paranoia, Manipulation, Hatred, Pain, Trauma, Racism, Xenophobia, Homophobia, Antisemitism, Sexism, Peace, Love, Wisdom, Harmony, Brotherhood, Sisterhood, Prosperity, Solidarity, etc.
Cost:
The course is 100% free for racists* but we ask for a deposit in advance to make sure that people don’t reserve without actually showing up (we’d hate to go to work on Sunday mornings for nothing). The course will start Sunday, September 20, and will last for 36 weeks, with a one-month break from December 20-January 17. Each lesson is 90 minutes so the course has a total of 54 hours. Like all other courses of ours, the price for this course should be 8 euro per hour for a total of 432.00 euro plus 22% IVA (527.04).
Our 10% student discount applies to this course as well.
So we ask all participants to pay the full 527.04 in advance as a deposit, and we will refund it in full upon completion of the course. If participants miss any lessons, we will deduct 12.00 euro + IVA (14.64) per lesson.
All money that will not be refunded due to missed lessons will be donated to ‘Doctors Without Borders.’ (They are not affiliated with our school, but we admire the love they show to all people, regardless of origin.)

Some of you may ask how we can know if someone isn’t just using the title ‘racist’ to get a free English course, and to that we say: If someone is willing to say ‘I am a racist’ just to get a free course, then they are racist enough for us to want to help.
For those of you who may be interested in the course but can’t bring yourselves to utter the horrible phrase, “I am a racist,” we can organize another course featuring the same subject matter and materials, but at our regular fee, on Friday or Sunday afternoons.
